Wedding ideas: "Save the Date" cards / invitations.

The first things I started to hunt down after getting engaged were "save the date" cards and wedding invitations. I was overwhelmed by the amount of choice and I searched high and low, finding so many that I liked. It was almost impossible to choose just one design, so in the end we decided to go for a DIY option for our Save the Date cards and our invitations too (more about that soon).

I thought it might be useful to any future brides out there to share some of my favourites that I found along the way. I found that although Etsy was a treasure trove of pretty invites, a lot of the sellers were in the USA which wasn't very practical with postage costs. Not On The High Street came up trumps with UK sellers and so many amazing and unique designs, something a bit different to the usual invites you may see. The personalised pencil with the black and white invitation is my favourite - it's so different!

Jonathan was dead set on number 6. Hmm, not sure how that would have gone down with the elderly relatives!
